Which one costs least

  1. Cash has no borrowing cost.
  2. The card matches cash if you pay the full balance within 12 months. Leave a balance and interest is charged from the purchase date at 28.99% APR.
  3. Over several years, ClearPath beats RENU’s lowest posted rate at every term, with its 2% fee, before filing and lender fees.
  4. Compare RENU when you need over $50,000 before the fee, or over 10 years.

When on-bill fits

ClearPath fits when

  • The job includes a heat pump, even with a gas furnace.
  • CCEF says ClearPath has no traditional credit check; approval rests on your Xcel bill history.

Look elsewhere when

  • You rent, or Xcel sells you gas only.
  • You’ll sell soon; CCEF says the buyer takes over the balance, which you must disclose.
  • The job is gas-only, a repair, or AC alone.

CCEF files a Land Records Notice, with no lien. Missed payments go through Xcel collections, which CCEF says can include disconnection. ClearPath eligibility and application
